New Calendar Format

We have a new calendar format for you to use.  It is especially nice because you can filter the calendar to meet your needs by selecting the school and activities you wish to see.

  • You can begin by selecting the funnel icon which filters the events that get displayed by the categories, school, department, activity or group type.
  • Next, you can select the magnifying glass icon which will allow you to search for events that get displayed in this view.  (If you currently have filters selected, this will search only events that match those filters)

Online Reputation Management for High School Students

For many high school students, the Internet is a virtual playground.  About 1/3 of students report that they’re constantly connected to Facebook, and social media outlets including Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter.  Some students are sharing large parts of their lives online.  Much of the content you’re sharing online is available worldwide to anyone with an Internet connection, and thanks to tools like caching and the Wayback Machine, they are likely to be permanent, creating a digital trail that can last a lifetime. That means embarrassing high school moments or lapses in judgment are no longer forgotten with time: they’re preserved online for the world to access, quite possibly forever.  If the digital footprint you’re building now may last a lifetime, consider this: is it one you’ll be proud to share for the rest of your life?  Click here for a guideline for an Online Reputation Management for High School Students

If you would like to have a different senior or baby picture (other than the one you have given Ms. Hodak for the yearbook) to appear on the graduation slideshow, turn those in to MS. Elston no later than Friday, May 2.

Change in Procedure

In order for a student to leave school during the school day a parent/guardian must come to the office and sign out the student in person.  This change has been made to ensure the safety of our students.  We want to encourage parents to make necessary appointments during our days off and twice monthly half days.

Upcoming Activities

Soccer Youth Camp July 14th, 15th, & 16th - Form

National Walking Day

Heart disease is this country's number 1 killer!  By exercising for as little as 30 minutes each day you can reduce your risk. That's what the American Heart Association's Start Walking Movement is all about: "Walk more. Eat better. Live a longer, healthier life."  Wednesday, April 2 was National Walking Day!  Several teachers walked after school for 30 minutes to show support for this life saving activity.
