Scholar Bowl

Your Winfield Scholar Bowl team had its first 2 meets last night (October 28) at home. We defeated Troy, 280-200, but lost to Orchard Farm by one question, 220-230. Devon Orr was our high scorer of the night with 140 points, Rhea Anderson had 50, Kayla Johnson had 20, and newbie Robbie Fahrenholtz had 60 points! Good job everyone!

Book Fair

The High School Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the library beginning Monday, November 3 through Friday, November7.   See the link below for more information.


Dodge Ball Tournament

Can you dip, duck and dodge?  Then you and some of your  friends should  sign up for the FCA dodge ball tournament.  It will be played on November 14th @ 7 pm in the high school gym. Cost is $5 a player with a maximum of 8 players per team.  Admission is $1 or a canned food item.  You can see Mrs. Chidster or Mr. Neels to pay your entrance fee or if you need more information.

Sophomore Fund Raiser

Show your Warrior Pride with the purchase of a Winfield Stadium blanket.  This 50” x 60”  Gildan Dryblend Stadium Fleece is 50/50 cotton/polyester blend.  The blanket has double needle stitching with a logo in the center approximately 16” x 16”.  The blanket will be red with solid white lettering.  All orders are due by November  7, 2014.  Each blanket is $20 (cash only please).  Please send order and money to the High School in an envelope  attn:  Paula Vail.

Fall Back

By act of Congress, civil clocks in most areas of the United States are adjusted ahead one hour in the summer months (known as daylight time) and returned back one hour in the winter months (known as standard time). Daylight savings time ends Sunday, November 2 at 2:00 a.m.  So turn your clock back ("fall back") one hour on Saturday evening before you go to bed.  Enjoy your extra hour of sleep.

Saturday Make Up Hours

There will be six Saturday's in which to make up hours before the end of the 1st semester.  November 1, 8, 15, & 22. And December 6 & 13.  Hours will be from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.in room 302.
