Make-Up Hours Schedule

MAKE-UP HOURS

· Monday/Wednesday (RM 402 – Mr. Smith) Tuesday/Thursday (RM 407 – Mr. Yarolimek) until 4:30PM.

· Monday /Wednesday Mornings from 6:45-7:30am (RM 402 – Mr. Smith)

· Early Release afternoons from 12:45-3:00pm (LIBRARY)

and from 3:00-4:30pm (RM 402– Mr. Smith).

· Saturdays Beginning, March 7 (RM 302– Ms. Elston)  from 8:00am – 12:00pm or 8:00am – 3:00pm.

 

Reminder

Besides the opportunities during the week to make up hours, there are only four more Saturdays left to make up those hours.  April 25, May 2, May 9 and May 16.  

1st Annual WHS Senior Recognition Night

Seniors and Parents/Guardians:
   This year we would like to invite you to our first annual Winfield High School "Senior Recognition Night".  This evening is designed to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of all of our senior students.  We will have a light snack, followed by senior awards, graduation information and a special message booklet from our seniors and staff.  We are excited about this change and hope all of our seniors and parents/guardians will plan to attend. Please RSVP by Friday, May 1st.

Cuivre River Electric Cooperative Essay Winners

Congratulations to Alex Hudelson and Kasey Kaimann on a job well done  at the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative essay contest. They were two of twelve finalists (out of 380+ submissions) who presented their essays. Kasey won a $250 college scholarship and Alex was one of the top six who won an all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC this summer. Great job ladies we are so proud of you!

Annual Plant Sale

The Annual Winfield Agriculture Program Plant Sale is just around the corner!  It will be held on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 from 3-6 p.m. each day at the high school greenhouse.  More information regarding items and prices will be available soon.

Lunch Accounts

The last day charging will be allowed in the cafeteria will be Friday April 24, 2015. If you do not have enough money in your lunch account to pay for your meal you will be offered a cheese sandwich, fruit and a white milk. The cost of breakfast is $1.65 and lunches are $2.55.

  • From April 1st to May 14th:
    • Students must complete the following in order to participate in Field Day on May 15th
      • NO D’s or F’s
      • 95% Attendance
      • NO Office Disciple Referrals
  •  Office Disciple Referrals also include being written up for 3 Tardies to one class!

Field Day this year will include:

  • Snacks
  • Outdoor Games
  • Prizes
  • LOTS OF FUN!!!

Important Dates

Prom:  April 25 at The Christy Banquet Center from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m.  Doors will close at 7:30 p.m.

Approved 2015-2016 Academic Calendar

Thank you parents for participating in the calendar survey. As a result, we will continue to have two early release days per month and will remain as consistent as possible with the first & third Wednesdays of the month.

Lincoln County Fair Queen

Lincoln County Fair Queen applications are available NOW at the AD Information table. Applications must be post marked by Friday, May 15th.

Yearbooks

Have you paid for your 2015 yearbook? Many have ordered, but only a few have paid. Be sure to check your account online at Jostens.com or see Hodak for details.  

Math Tutoring

        -Tutor sessions will be offered in room 317 or 321. A laminated sign will be posted in front of that room.
        -Time 3PM to 4PM
        -Dates Monday, Wednesday (full days), Fridays (when there is 1/2 PD Wednesday)
        -Students need to be present in classroom by 3PM (NO EXCEPTIONS)
        -If a student needs credit recovery hours and only wants to focus on math, they may come to tutor and sign-in on recovery sheet as well as tutor login sheet
