PINK OUT Games for baseball and soccer are May 9th! T-Shirts will be sold for $10 each and all proceeds from gates and t-shirt sales will go to help a parent/employee of WHS who is currently battling cancer.

Graduation: Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gym

Summer School

Parent & Students—Summer School will be held at the High School: Wed., June 1- Tues., June 28. Session 1: 8:00-11:30, Session 2: noon-3:30. You may attend both sessions. Students must provide transportation and lunch. Students attending the full day MUST remain at school the full time. If your student has failed a class we strongly encourage them to spend 20 days this summer to make-up the credit toward being on track for graduation. Summer School registration forms were handed out with this progress report and are also available in the office - sign-up ASAP to help us in scheduling. If you have any questions please contact the high school counseling office.

Cuivre River Electric Essay Winners


Congratulations to Kai Rogers, Karley Kaimann, and Abby White on the great job at the final round of the Cuivre River Electric Essay Contest.  Twelve finalists (out of 336 submissions) presented their essays.  Abby and Karley were awarded a $500.00 scholarship for making it to the finals and Kai placed in the top six, which earned him an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.c. this summer.

FFA Honors

Last week, Winfield FFA Traveled to the 88th Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia, MO. Winfield FFA had the best convention we have ever had with the following recognitions and student achievements:

Proficiency Awards: Lucas Rosenmiller, 1st place in Area for Landscape Management

Katie Burkemper, 1st place in Area for Dairy Production Placement


State FFA Degree Recipients: The following students have worked very hard for the past four years in FFA to achieve the prestigious State FFA Degree. Only 773 students in the state of Missouri out of over 25,000 Missouri FFA members receive this honor. 4 Winfield FFA students were able to make this achievement! Congratulations to Katie Burkemper, Kaleb Henebry, Logan Hoeckelmann, and Kasey Kaimann!


Soils Team: The Winfield FFA Soils team competed at the state level on Thursday of last week. The team took 7th place out of 48 teams! Team members include: Carson Hoeckelmann, Ashleigh Henebry, Dalton Tayon, and Caleb Veness. Carson Hoeckelmann was the 3rd place individual of the contest and Dalton Tayon was the 6th place individual out of over 180 participants!

FFA Greenhouse Sales

The Winfield FFA Plant Sale will be held on May 5 and 6 from 3:30 to 6:00pm at the Greenhouse located behind the high school.

Lunch Information

Starting Monday May 2, 2016 until the end of the school year students will no longer be allowed to charge meals at breakfast or lunch. The cost of breakfast is $0.30 reduced price and $1.70 full price. The cost of lunch is $0.40 reduced and $2.60 full price. Milk is $0.40.


Any charges also need to be paid at this time.
