John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest.

  • Open to all students 9-12
  • 700-1000 word essay that describes an act of political courage by an U.S. elected official that occurred during or after 1956, the publication date of Profiles in Courage.
  • First place winner receives $10,000.00, second place wins $1,000.00 and up to five finalists receive $500.00 each.

This Wednesday, October 1st absolutely NO students will be allowed on campus after school until 3:15.

FFA Trap Team


The Winfield FFA Trap team had a shoot on Satuday in Columbia, MO.

The A team took 1st place overall out of 48 teams! A Team consisted of: Kyle Newcomb, Morgan Gremminger, Jon Stetson, Lucas Rosenmiller, and Jack Nordmann! The B team took 2nd place overall out of 48 teams! B Team consisted of: Randy Lawson, Kaleb Henebry, Grant Eggering, Mason Michael and Phillip Peluso! Also a very special announcement: Jack Nordmann shot his first perfect score of 50 and took 1st place individually of all the shooters at this competition! Lucas Rosenmiller took 3rd place individually and Grant Eggering took 4th place individually! Congratulations to these awesome students on dominating this weekend’s shoot! Way to go Winfield FFA!

Shut Out Cancer

The 2014 Boys Soccer "Shut Out Cancer" game is this Thursday, October 2 at 4:00 p.m..  Come out and support not only your Warrior Soccer team but also help us "Shut Out Cancer"  All proceeds to help fund cancer research.


Seniors: on Tuesday October 21 you can order your cap/gown/miscellaneous items in the commons from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will also be time from 2:45-5:30 p.m. for parents to meet with the representative if they have questions.

2014 Yearbooks are NOW on sale during ALL LUNCH Shifts. Prepaid orders may be picked up. There are only a few extras available for purchase for $60-- first come; first serve. See Hodak (Room 414) for details!

Warrior Pride Band

The marching band competed in their first competition of the year at the Tiger Ambush Classic held at Edwardsville High School on Saturday, September 20.  We had a great performance and took home third place in class 2A, as well as best visual performance in Class 2A.
